11. When your church practices the celebrating of Halloween.
Q. Is it wrong to celebrate Halloween? Does your church celebrate it?
A. Halloween is commonly referred to as “All Souls Day”.
B. It began with the worshipping of ancient dead ancestors.
C. Since we have already discussed what happens to the dead when they die, it would be of no value to continue that practice, especially when now it has been concluded that the holiday is filtered with other pagan practices. It certainly would not bring any honor to the true God. Do you feel that it’s no big deal and then say, “I’m not celebrating it like the rest of the world! It just seems to be a good time of the year to get specials at stores and have a party with close friends!” I wonder how it is looked at from God’s viewpoint, actually as he sees it, knowing this holidays’ roots and what it truly represents in His eyes?
D. So . . . what’s your churches position on celebrating Halloween?
