9. As long as your a good person, Does it matter?

Q: If I am a good person and don't do bad, isn't this acceptable to God?
A. Romans 10:2 says: “For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God; but not according to accurate knowledge; for, because of not knowing the righteousness of God, but seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God."

Discussion:
8. When your religion teaches in principle that it doesn’t matter what you believe as long as you are good and don’t hurt people.
Q. Is it possible to have a zeal for doing good and still be unacceptable to God?
A. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 “For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness.”
